Nissan Versa: What’s New for 2020?
The Nissan Versa is all-new for 2020, which means everything from its interior and overall design to its performance has been updated to include more technologies, style, and power.
Here’s a quick look at few notable things that are new for the 2020 Versa:
- All-new exterior and interior design
- A more powerful and efficient engine
- Addition of Nissan Safety Shield® 360 as well as more infotainment options
All-New Look for 2020
The Versa will take on a sleeker and more modern look for its latest model year. Redesigned to mirror the sporty and striking design of the Maxima and Altima, the new Versa will feature the distinctive V-motion grille as well as boomerang-shaped headlamps and taillights. It’ll also come with a floating roof design for a sleek touch.
The interior of this versatile vehicle includes a few upgrades, too. With a “Gliding Wing” instrument panel and more high-quality materials, design for the Versa is more luxurious and sophisticated than ever before. It also includes a Zero Gravity front seat to optimize support and comfort during those long drives.
Plus, with eight exterior color options, including Monarch Orange Metallic and Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, you can customize its look and overall feel to match your unique personality.
More Features and Technologies
The latest model year of the Nissan Versa will be all about features and technologies. For 2020, Nissan has packed the car with just about any piece of advanced tech features that can enhance your experience behind the wheel.
Nissan Safety Shield® 360 is just one of the technologies you can expect for the all-new Versa. Nissan Safety Shield® 360 includes numerous driver-assist technologies engineered to help you avoid or reduce the impact of a frontal collision. Some of the driver-assist features include Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High-Beam Assist, and Automatic Rear Braking.
It’s also set to come with comfort and entertainment features, such as available Automatic Temperature Control and Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™.
2020 Nissan Versa Performance
The 2020 Nissan Versa may be a compact sedan, but its latest engine upgrades will help it provide a punch of power when you hit the road. It will have a next-generation 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that gets 122 horsepower, which provides a bit more power compared to the previous 109-horsepower motor.
The 2020 model year will also come with an improved Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) for smooth shifting. Want a sportier performance with a bit more control? It’ll offer a 5-speed manual transmission, too.
Above all, the Versa will be providing drivers with a more efficient performance. Thanks to engine and transmission upgrades, it’s expected to get up to an EPA-estimated 40 MPG highway.1
