2022 Nissan Ariya Preview

If you like being ahead of the curve, your interest will be piqued with the arrival of the 2022 Nissan Ariya.* Be on the lookout for this dynamic electric car coming to a showroom near Mobile, Prichard, and Saraland, Alabama. With your surging curiosity about the Ariya, the team at Nissan of Mobile serves as your source for updates and information about its inaugural appearance, slated for the end of 2021.

Nissan Ariya Forceful Performance

If you know very little about how electric cars perform, we can tell you all about the Nissan Ariya’s performance. Twin motors with two separate batteries will power your car. The standard 2-wheel drive (2WD) with 63-kWh battery will supply enough energy to run a quick errand, while the 2WD long-range 87-kWh battery will work well when you embark on a long commute or extended drive.

To operate your Ariya that will derive its pep from a maximum 389 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, the e-Pedal will enable you to accelerate, decelerate, and stop. It will work in similar fashion to the Nissan LEAF.

Choose between two drivetrains: front-wheel drive (FWD) or e-4ORCE all-wheel drive (AWD). If you select FWD, it will streamline your drive for easy exploration. For conquering more challenging conditions, AWD takes purchase of the roads with deft handling.

Nissan Ariya Spacious Interior

Enter the lounge-like interior of the Ariya, where you can rest your tired feet on the smooth floor and be enveloped within the ambiance of the glowing lantern. The center console will gracefully move back for more space, so you can stretch out in your comfortable Zero Gravity front seats.

Room for five passengers can be found across the two rows, and you’ll get 16.5 cubic feet of cargo space in the FWD trunk or 14.6 cubic feet with the AWD model.

Nissan Ariya Technology

Voice recognition will allow you to control your tech that will be viewed on two large display screens that appear like a sweeping glass ribbon across the dashboard. Swipe the touchscreens to select the app you want through Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™.

You know where to find a traditional gas station, but do you know where a charging station may be? The standard Intelligent Route Planner does and can build an itinerary for your destination to ensure you reach the station when you need a charge. It will list the nearby charging stations on the map if you’re heading out for a less formal trip, too.

Nissan Ariya Safety

Holding true to the Nissan lineup, the Ariya will provide the standard Safety Shield® 360 that comes with six systems. They include:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
  • Rear Automatic Braking
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Move forward and backward with confidence with these first-rate driver-assistive systems. The Intelligent Around View Monitor works in tandem with these other devices to make sense of your surroundings.

Let your Ariya do the driving. Two systems allow you to hand over the reins, including ProPILOT Assist 2.0 that will give you the chance to take your hands from the wheel when traveling in a single lane. Hold down a button in the ProPILOT Park, and it will park the car for you after you choose the available spot.
