Ashland Midtown Pub

Located just off Old Shell Road, this cozy storefront eatery promises a menu like no other in the area. During the week you can grab everything from pizza to Po-boys but it's their special Sunday brunch menu that really has people lining up outside the door.

Make sure to start the meal off with their bottomless mimosas before digging into their Southern-inspired brunch menu that's always filled with some delightful surprises.

Our pick - MiMo's Benedict. Homemade crab cakes topped with poached eggs along with their homemade crawfish Creole sauce. Served with a side of grilled Conecuh sausage and Gouda cheese grits.

The Noble South

If the menu doesn't satisfy, the exquisite atmosphere certainly will. Located in the heart of Mobile just off Bienville Square, Chef Chris Rainosek and his partners created this 100% farm-to-table restaurant with the goal of creating a dining experience that blends Continental fare with deep Southern traditions.

While Chef Chris brings his decades of culinary experience to the dinner menu, he leaves Brunch in the talented hands of his Sous Chef Josh, and boy, are we appreciative. Whether it's pickled shrimp or sweet monkey bread made with fresh brioche, there's something to please the salty and sweet-toothed among us.

Our pick - Huevos Rancheros. Fresh corn tortillas smothered in sea island red peas, roasted tomato salsa, fresh cheese and two sunny-side eggs.

Dripping with charm, it's dining rooms are perfect for a mid-morning meal or private party. Even if you're not a fan of brunch, you'll be easily tempted by their delicious sandwiches and signature soups made fresh daily.

Our pick - Banana's Foster French Toast. Thick slabs of French Toast drizzled with warm Banana's Foster sauce and bananas.
